2. Kriya Babaji -> Yogi Ramaiah
There are 3 levels of initiations. Altogether there are 144 techniques available.
Paramahansa Yogananda says about Kriya Yoga:
In the initial states of God-contact (sabikalpa samadhi) the devotee's consciousness merges with the Cosmic Spirit; his life force is withdrawn from the body,
which appears "dead," or motionless and rigid. The yogi is fully aware of his bodily condition of suspended animation. As he progresses to higher
spiritual states (nirbikalpa samadhi), however, he communes with God without bodily fixation, and in his ordinary waking consciousness,
even in the midst of exacting worldly duties.
Yogi Ramaiah says about Kriya Yoga:
Thousands of years before the dawn of western science and the birth of modern medical and psychological practices 18 scientific and spiritually minded men
and women of the ancient Tamil culture of India, performed careful observations and experiments in order to answer such fundamental questions as
"Who am I?", "How can I gain mastery of myself?", and "How can I help those who are sick and suffering?" As a result of their research, these
18 Tamil Siddhas developed the scientific art of perfect God and Truth union, known as YOGA.
Continuing in the tradition of these 18 Tamil Siddhas, Kriya Babaji Nagaraj crystallized their discoveries into a dynamic and practical yoga for modern times.
This yoga is called Kriya Yoga.
